A BURN BAN IS IN EFFECT AS OF 07/21/2021

Does this mean I can't have a campfire?

Yes. Sort of. Solid fuel fires are not allowed. So no burning of wood or charcoal. But propane fire rings with a shut off valve are acceptable.

What if I don't have a propane fire ring?

Camp Dakota has propane fire rings for rent. We only have a limited supply so you should reserve yours in advance of your visit at the bottom of this page. You can also purchase a propane fire ring at most hardware or sporting goods stores.

What about the wood stove in my yurt?

Wood stoves located inside a yurt or home are exempt from the burn ban. You can still use the wood stove. Please be careful and only use the stove when needed for heat.

What about a BBQ?

Propane BBQs or Traeger style grills are still allowed. Briquette BBQs are not allowed.
