YURT -  2024 PRICING

 

Yurt camping is a great way to experience the great outdoors and still be comfortably dry.  Unlike a tent, yurts are completely water tight and will keep you dry regardless of the wind, rain, or snow.  With wood floors, electricity, and a door that locks, this beats tent camping hands down!  There is a wood burning stove inside so even in the coldest weather you can still go camping and enjoy all of what mother nature can throw at you.  Each yurt comes with beds with mattresses (a big step up from sleeping on the ground.)  Camp Dakota's yurts come in two different sizes.  Choose either a big 30' yurt (sleeps 10) with a table game like ping pong, air hockey, foosball, or a pool table or choose a smaller 20' yurt (sleeps 6) for a few dollars less that will still keep you warm and dry.  Remember that you are still technically camping and this is not a hotel room....it's a fun outdoor camping adventure without the risk of getting soaked or sleeping on the hard ground.
 

All of our yurts do come with the following amenities:

• Electricity & lights

• Wood burning stove for heat.  This is your only heat source.  Firewood is available for sale on site.

• Propane BBQ with side burner (propane provided)

• Outside fire pit and picnic table

• Pet friendly (leash required)

• All yurts are non-smoking
   

Yurts do not have the following:
 

• Bedding - Plastic covered mattresses are provided but you still need to bring bedding or sleeping bags

• Inside plumbing - Fresh drinking water and outside port-a-potty are located about 75' away

• Cooking utensils or cookware.  You will need to bring these from home

• Refrigerator.  Bring an ice chest. We have ice for sale on site

• Internet.  (Sorry, no WiFi in the yurt)
   

Cold Winter Weather Warning!​

Yurts are basically a large round camping tent on a wooden deck with electricity and beds inside.  The wood stove will help to keep the chill off and raise the temperature inside 20 - 40 degrees F.  This means that if it is 20 Degrees outside then the inside temperature will probably get up to only 60 Degrees F.  A yurt is not insulated like your house and the larger the yurt, the more room you will need to heat!  The smaller 20' yurts will heat up faster and stay warm longer then the larger 30' yurts.  It can take an hour or more once you get a fire started to get a yurt reasonably warm during cold weather.  If you let the fire go out or do not put enough warm / dry firewood in the stove then the inside temperature will be lower.  We highly recommend that you bring extra layers of warm clothing, gloves, winter hats, and extra blankets during the winter months.  Electric heaters will not effectively make a difference.  Please plan your trip accordingly.

Rent one night and receive $75 to spend on activities of your choice.

Additional passenger vehicle = $7 per night

Site #11 - 30' Yurt with Air Hockey and Foosball

Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 10 guests. No suitable tent area in this site. Has a wood stove, electricity, air hockey table, foosball table, outdoor fire ring (on deck), and a propane BBQ with a side burner. This yurt sleeps up to 10 people and has three queen/twin bunk beds, a futon, table & chairs, Additional passenger vehicle = $7 per night.

Site #13 - 20' Yurt

Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 6 guests. Designed to sleep up to 6 people, this yurt has a wood burning stove, electricity, a tent pad outside for one medium / small tent, an outside fire ring, and a propane BBQ with a side burner. Sleeping arraignments include two queen mattress and two twin mattresses. Tent area is 12' X 12' and maximum occupancy allowed is 12 guests total. Additional passenger vehicle = $7 per night.

 

Site #15 - 30' Yurt with Air Hockey and Foosball

Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 10 guests. 25' Parking. 10'x 12' tent area. Has a wood stove, electricity, air hockey table, tent site out back, outdoor fire pit, and a propane BBQ with a single side burner. This yurt sleeps up to 10 people and has three queen/twin bunk beds, futon, table & chairs. Additional passenger vehicle = $7 per night.

Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 6 guests. 30' parking. Has wood stove, electricity, 2)10'x10' tent pads outside for one medium/small tent, outside fire pit, and propane BBQ with a single side burner. Yurt sleeps up to 6 on bunk beds. Has two queen/twin bunk beds. MAXIMUM occupancy is 12 people. Additional passenger vehicle = $7 per night.

Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 10 guests. 30' Parking. 12'x12' tent area. Has a wood stove, electricity, ping pong table, tent site out back, outdoor fire pit, and a propane BBQ with a single side burner. This yurt sleeps up to 10 people and has three queen/twin bunk beds, futon, table & chairs. Additional passenger vehicle = $7 per night.
 

Site #26 - 20' Yurt

Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 6 guests. NO TENT AREA. 30' parking  Has wood stove, electricity, outside fire pit, and propane BBQ with a single side burner. Yurt sleeps up to 6 on bunk beds. Has two queen/twin bunk beds. MAXIMUM occupancy is 8 people. Additional passenger vehicle = $7 per night.

 

Site #44 - 30' Yurt with Pool Table

Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 10 guests and has three queen/twin bunk beds, futon, table & chairs.. 25' Parking. 10' x12' tent area. Has a wood stove, electricity, pool table, tent site out back, outdoor fire pit, and a propane BBQ.  Additional vehicle $7 per night.

This yurt is located in our large group camping site and only rents separately during off peak dates.  See Group Site 46/47/48 details (Mid-week summer / weekends winter) Includes parking for two vehicles and sleeps up to 10 guests. 25' Parking. Has a wood stove, electricity, air hockey table, outdoor fire pit, and a propane BBQ with a single side burner.
