Updated 3/23/20

In keeping with the Executive Order 20-12, Camp Dakota is closed until at least April 23rd.

How Camp Dakota is dealing with Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Health officials are encouraging people to avoid crowded places and to seek alternative outdoor activities that reduce close contact with other people. Camp Dakota is a great alternative to group events in the city.

Camp Dakota will remain open for guests for the foreseeable future and we are taking the following steps to help ensure we don’t contribute to the possible outbreak.

  1. All contact surfaces inside our yurts will be disinfected thoroughly between guests. To ensure our cleaning staff have sufficient time to do the extra cleaning between guests, check in time will be moved by one hour to 3 PM (Currently 2 PM)

  2. Surfaces in our toilets, shower facilities, camp office, and kitchen will be disinfected several times daily.

  3. All guest and guide equipment will be disinfected between each use. (We do that anyway)

  4. We encourage our guests to complete the steps necessary for our Expedited Check-in to avoid unnecessary time spent in close proximity in our office. We encourage guests to send only one representative from each site to check-in at our office upon arrival. Activity Wristbands may be picked up at our activity office where you will be standing outside and not in an enclosed area.

  5. Updated 3/17 - The Main Office is will remain open, however we will limit the number of guests inside at once. One or two customers from the same group can enter at the same time. Only one group of guests will be allowed inside at once. Pizza and coffee order forms can be picked up outside the office, and one/two representatives from you group can drop off forms at the office and make payments. Pizza/coffee will be delivered to your campsite.

  6. In order to comply with the most recent guidelines for social distancing, Camp Dakota has elected to close our Zip Line activity from March 17th until April 18th. If you have already made a reservation for the Zip Lines during these dates, you can either re-scheduled for a future reservation, or a credit for the amount paid can be applied to other purchases during your stay (Challenge Course appointment, paintballs, sweatshirts, pizza, firewood, etc).

  7. Wristbands will be distributed outside at the Activity Office. Please allow only one guest at a time on the deck to keep distancing. The Participant Agreement form can be completed online at home for each participant, speeding up your check in process.

  8. Harnessing for Rock Wall and Challenge Course will take place outside the gear shed in an open environment with adequate space between participants.

  9. Paintball guns and masks will continue to be sanitized between users. Guests are asked to keep a distance between each other during game briefings and in the staging area. Guests will not be allowed in the paintball store, but additional purchases (coveralls, paint grenades, etc) will still be available by request.

  10. Hand sanitizer will be available throughout camp in each port-a-potty toilet.

  11. Hand washing stations with hot and cold running water are located outside the shower building.

  12. Guests and staff who are feeling ill should stay at home.

  13. Our staff are encouraged to avoid crowded places and limit close contact with others.
