ARTS AND CRAFTS PROGRAMS

Arts & Crafts Projects are available any on weekends March 15 thru October 31
and 7 days a week during spring break and summer break.   
 

Feeling creative?  Camp Dakota offers a variety of projects for artists of all ages.  

Here is a short list of the projects available.

Make a Tie Dye Shirt $25

Project description:  Camp Dakota provides the white T-shirt with our logo already 
screen printed on it as well as all the dyes, chemical wash,  rubber bands, equipment,
and all of the instruction.  You provide the inspiration for a unique tie dye design.  

Appropriate for all ages with parent supervision.

 

Make a Charm Bracelet $22

Project description: Camp Dakota provides the chain, stainless steel wire, metal clasps,

tools, several charms, and instructions.  Add charms at any time to remind yourself
of your adventures, favorite places, pets, and milestones.  

Due to the fine motor skills and patience needed to successfully complete this 
project we recommend this project only be attempted by those who are ages 12+

Painting and sketching projects $5 - $30
Project description: Choose from a variety of painting and sketching projects for artists of all
ages and skill levels.  Each project comes with a package of paints and a brush so you can 

finish at home if you don't complete your masterpiece while at camp. Prices vary by project.  
Appropriate for ages 4+.  Adult supervision is required for youth under the age of 10.

Make a bead necklace or bracelet - FREE

Project description: Bring the beads you have earned while doing activities at
Camp Dakota to our arts & crafts area and we will provide you with a special beading
string for your necklace or bracelet. Find an arrowhead while gold panning?  Bring
that too and we can help you make a focal point for your necklace.  (A variety of
special beads and focal points are also for sale so you can dress up your necklace.)
Appropriate for ages 4+.  Adult supervision is required for youth under the age of 10.

Oven-Bake Clay Sculpturing $12

Project description: Use you imagination to create Christmas ornaments,
refrigerator magnets, figurines, game pieces, or even your own custom beads 
and jewelry.  Once your project is baked you you can paint your project if you like.  
All materials are provided including clay, baking and paints. 

Appropriate for ages 4+.  Adult supervision is required for youth under the age of 10.

 

Make a Sun Catcher $12

Project description:  Choose from a variety of oven-bake Suncatcher designs
and decorate them with the beads provided.  Once your project is bakes you
will have a beautiful window hanger to dress up your room!
